Description
I am selling one of my oldest proxy sites. I have had this up for over a year. There is no advertising done on the site except for a couple links on various sites. Majority of traffic is just from word of mouth or returning visitors. View statcounter stats here: http://my.statcounter.com/project/standard/stats.php?project_id=1361067&guest=1 Also included is freewebproxy.net which is just pointing to fsurf.com as well. Both domains are registered through NameCheap. I have a SSL certificate setup to support secure browsing as well: https://www.fsurf.comRevenue Details
The site uses Google Adsense on main page and BannerConnect / RightMedia 468x60 ads above proxied pages.

PHPProxy is what is currently using and has been for awhile. Although when I first started it I was switching between cgi and php so I have a similar template setup to use cgiproxy http://www.fsurf.com/cgi.html

I cannot tell what the site is really. How in heck is there that much traffic with it basically being an MFA site? Maybe I am missing something here. Did this site used to be something else?

It is a proxy website as said, not sure what MFA site is. Maybe this will help http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Proxy_server

Before i make an offer, what kind of bandwidth do you use and do you need a dedicated server to run this site? If so how much a month is it and what are the specs?

Where do you have it hosted? How much per month? Any problems with hosting company?

Also, will you accept escrow.com?

The bandwidth is in those screenshots above.
Yes a dedicated is required for a proxy server. The specs of mine is the lowest server they offered at the time, I believe an AMD2800 with 512 of RAM.
I host at OrangeFiber.com, my server is $119 per month unmetered 10MBPS connection. I currently host 4 proxy sites on this server. I have no problems with the hosting company.

June was the highest bandwidth usage in the screenshot which used 1.407411 terabytes. I used this site to convert it: http://www.t1shopper.com/tools/calculate/

I'm stuggling to see were the adsense adverts are placed. Could you shed some light as to where the are located on your website? Cheers

Hey bgolat

there are 1,118,997,753 page impression for the month of August 2006 as it says on you Web Statistics.
BUT..On Google Adsense page I only see 71,570 page impression for the month of August 2006.
Please clarify that for me.
Thanks

Simple reason, adsense is only on 1 page. It is not on the majority of the pages that people visit (proxied pages). Also, many sites will link directly to the proxied page they want, thus never even visiting the home page. For example: http://www.fsurf.com/index.php?q=d3d3Lmdvb2dsZS5jb20-&hl=1111101001 you could bookmark that and visit google everytime through your bookmark without starting at the homepage with adsense. Hope that helps!

Christiano
they are on the homepage: www.fsurf.com, at the top and then the big block of ads in the middle.

Hello,
So profit after server is around $100, right?
-

That would be about right... $100-200 or so.

Well, profit after server varies on many things. I have 4 proxies on the server that fsurf is on (one is larger than fsurf). So I wouldn't say fsurf costs $119 to run (maybe 35-50% of that). Such as last month it earned $366 total, minus 50% of server cost ($60) would equal $306 of profit. Month before that $180 earned total - $60 = $120 profit.

dkrapo, I have not received anything like this. I have checked with google on my proxy sites to make sure they are ok, and I have record that I am within the TOS.

Hrumm this sale is very missleading
The site uses Google Adsense on main page and BannerConnect / RightMedia 468x60 ads above proxied pages.
Ban con and Right Media DO NOT support proxy sites anymore.

RightMedia has just recently stopped supporting proxy either this week or last, I do not remember. However BannerConnect still supports it.

Nope sorry Ban connect DOESN'T support proxy sites.
Thanks for your interest in Bannerconnect.
I'm sorry, proxy sites have proven themselves in general, over the past, to provide extremely low quality traffic with low CTR and high impression/IP ratios, as well as causing technical issues with many of the sites they proxy, and Bannerconnect has therefore stopped accepting them for the time being.Best Regards,
Kjell Jetten

well they haven't disabled them for me - nor have I been notified that they plan to. As you can see in the screenshot they are still counting impressions in October. Either way, there are plenty of ad networks for the new owner to use to monetize the site, or even selling their own text links / cpm banners.
